District 11 - Information

  • District 11 Statement of Purpose
    District 11 is a service group consisting of AA members from Antrim, Benzie, Grand Traverse, Kalkaska and Leelanau counties of Northern Michigan. Our primary purpose is to stay sober and help other alcoholics to achieve sobriety. To do this we act as a liaison for AA with the professional community, correctional facilities and treatment facilities, and with Western Michigan Area Assembly; provide a means for individuals, Group Service Representatives, District Committee members, and Area, Regional and World AA to exchange questions, problems, solutions and information; elect officers and chairpersons for committees which have been set up to implement our service goals; and read and embody the Twelve Concepts for World Service and Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions of Alcoholics Anonymous.
