Volunteer at Central Office. If you have six months or more of continuous sobriety and would like volunteer for a shift at Central Office, we can use your help.
The doors have to be open for us to help carry the message.
The most important words a suffering alcoholic will hear when they reach out for help are, "Alcoholics Anonymous… May I help you?" Our phones need to be answered when someone makes the call that will ultimately help save their lives.
And when a recoverying alcoholic is traveling and needs directions to a meeting, Central Office is the one that often gets the call. Be the one that helps that alcoholic find the meeting that they might so desperately need.
When someone who is new to A.A. wants to purchase A.A. literature or, when an A.A. group needs to restock their own supply of A.A. literature, there has to be someone there to sell them that literature.
Central Office also maintains and distributes A.A. meeting schedules without which, no one would be able to find the location and times of A.A meetings in District 11. When a member, either new to the area or A.A. itself, stops in to get a meetings list, or a group member stops in to pick up a stack of them for their home group, someone has to be there to distribute these meeting lists.
These are all valuable services that the Central Office provides to the A.A. community. Come join the Central Office staff to insure that these services continue to be available to the A.A. community and that every suffering alcoholic who reaches out for help finds the message of hope.
