- Hello to you all,I hope all is well
It has been a privilege and pleasure to serve as the Central Office Website Webmaster. The four years have
flown by but the time has come to move on to other service in AA and the community. The site will be taken over later this month by two great ladies
that are very experienced in web work so the Central Office Website will be in good hands. Thank you to all for your great input and support over these
past wonderful four years.
- The Traverse City Thanksgiving Roundup was a tremendous success with standing room only for the Keynote speaker on Saturday night.
Thank you to Jenie for the super job of puting this thing all together. Thank you Central Office for your vision of this event, and thank you to the
AA and Al-Anon groups and each member and hard working volenteer that was involved. Now lets start working on next year soon.

of the Camel Courier and enjoy. The Courier pages are packed with information about Central Office, the AA and Al-Anon community,Events throughout the
area and beyond and some great writings from past and present.
The free issues will be available each month as soon as Art gets them out
(should be within the first couple of days of the month) If you would like to contribute your story or have any question for the editor, contact him at:
district11centraloffice@yahoo.com

past dates, Enjoy!
- Upcoming Open Speaker Meetings
at Munson Medical Center (Basement Conference Rooms) Every Saturday - 8:00PM
SCHEDULED SPEAKERS : TBA
Speaking at AA meetings is an important tool or stepping stone in one's own sobriety, as well as providing a much needed service to
other members of the AA community. When individuals with extensive periods of sobriety speak at AA meetings, it often provides a model,
or example for other members of the AA community, especially newcomers and those with shorter periods of sobriety. Although there is no
clearly - defined method or procedure involved in speaking at this meeting, here's a few suggestions that are fairly common and beneficial
to both the speaker and those who are listening: Be Friendly, Be Honest, Inject Humor, Be Relevant – Stay on Topic, Inject Hope Into Your
Speech, Be Aware Of The Time – this meeting lasts 60 minutes.
If you’re interested in being a guest speaker at an upcoming Open Speaker Meeting at Munson, please contact John at (231) 649-5444.
- If members, groups, or districts are interested in participating in Northern Michigan Inter Area, there will be a meeting at

the planing of the 2012 Spring Roundup that will be held in Grayling at the Ramada Inn Conference Center The NMIA will continue to meet on the first Sunday
of each month and may meet at different hosting Districts. I’ll try to keep you posted on the locations. Much help is needed for the event and it is a
blast to be a part of this. The location of the December meeting is:Boyne City Alano Club, 509 N East St. Boyne City, MI.
The January meeting will be
held on the 8th at the Kalkaska Senior Center on Coral Street in Kalkaska, Michigan.
- The District 11 Meeting is held in the basement conference rooms at Munson (where the Saturday open talk is held) the second Saturday of every month at

- I have added some downloadable documents on the Home Page that may be helpful for groups and members such as Group Change Forms,AA meeting
attendance sheets and such. If you think of anything else that would be helpful to have available there, let me know.
- The Central Office is in need of volunteers in all areas of service, such as call forwarding, rides for people to get to meetings, and
Office help. If you would like to help out, this is a great way to do service for our fellows or our future fellows in need. Contact me or
Central Office. Click on Contact Us tab for emails.
- I have not been able to add much to the District 11 news section of this web site. I would like to get input from GSRs, DCMs, and Group members
and District 11 Committee Chair persons on what information you would like to have included there. Any input or suggestions would be
appreciated.
- And, as always, if your group is having an event coming up and you would like to get a flyer on the website, just send it to the
Webmaster address.
Pleas keep your thoughts and ideas comming in and I hope to meet some of you on the road to Happy Destiny. So good bye for now, and may GOD Bless you.
